Last Sunday was Father's day here in America (Bill's 1st) and this following Sunday is Bill's Birthday. Since I've known Bill, one of his highlights in his life was when he was learning how to hang glide and how much he's missed being apart of that. So, I decided to surprise him with a Tandem Paraglide to get the blood pumping again. It was quite funny, cause I had planned this for last weekend but we had some crazy winds and then, after, no wind at all which isn't much chop for the flight. I had poor Bill guessing with baited breath since last Saturday. I would make a call every day and get the yes or no and eventually Bill caught wind(hehe) that it had something to do with the weather. Well Thursday evening turned out to be the winning ticket. We were going on a mysterious car trip down the valley and I think I had him going with the fly fishing until we got closer to the jump site and at that point the three or four paragliders floating in the air was a given. Here's a bunch of pictures River and I took. By the way, River was very taken with all the colorful floatie things and not to mention the yappie Jack Russells that took shelter for a bit of shade under River's stroller. Bill's instructor gave him quite a workout and even threw in an extra lesson to get Bill on his way to soaring. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening and it was even better seeing Bill get to unwind from the daily grind.
