I've been a little slack updating pictures and keeping everyone informed. Parenthood keeps you on your toes. All and all through life has dealt us a wonderful hand. River is progressing nicely. Head swivelling and star bearing is the latest thing, not to mention wanting to be attached to Mummy 24/7. Someone once told me that babies don't recognise that they're a separate body to Mum. As far as their concerned Mum is physically attached to them. Uno, I believe it too. This week has been the first week I haven't had an extra pair of hands in the house. Mum left out on the 8th of March (very sad) and Bill had a work trip this week. River and I managed quite well. I get the feeling she knows Daddy isn't around. She'd constantly looks over to Dad's side when in bed to see wher he is. I have no doubt she misses his snuggles and deep voice. I'm certain she also missed Mum when she left to go back to Australia, she was differently out of sorts for awhile there.
I had a check up with my midwife the other day to make sure everything is back to working order. We got to weigh River which is always fun to do. She is now weighing in at 9lbs 5oz. Her little face is starting to take shape and she's graduated to the next size up in diapers.
I'm organizing our birth class reunion for the 14th of April. It'll be great to see everyone from class and their new little people. I'll hopefully be able to post a group shot, keep checking the blog for an update.
Grandma sent River a package today which has her first pink wondersuit in it. She has offically been pinked for the first time since her arrival.
